Key Responsibilities – Sous Chef Role at The Dock
- Support the Head Chef in delivering consistently high-quality, fresh food for all service periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events
- Lead by example in maintaining exceptional kitchen standards – from food prep to cleanliness and hygiene
- motivate, and supervise junior kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Oversee stock levels, ordering, and waste management to help drive kitchen profitability
- Deliver outstanding food safety and allergen awareness at all times
About You – What We're Looking For in a Sous Chef
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen
- Positive attitude and a genuine passion for food, teamwork, and personal development
- Ability to work under pressure, stay organised, and bring energy to every shift
- Creative flair combined with a keen eye for detail and kitchen standards
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, inclusive approach to working with all team members
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
