Main Responsibilities – Sous Chef Duties in a Professional Kitchen
- Work closely with the Head Chef to create exciting, high-quality dishes across all mealtimes and special events.
- Maintain consistently high standards for food preparation, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation.
- Train and guide junior chefs, fostering a positive, team-based kitchen culture.
- Assist in managing stock, controlling food costs, and reducing waste.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and allergen procedures at all times.
Who We’re Looking For – Ideal Skills & Experience for the Sous Chef Role
- Background as a Sous Chef, or experience as a Chef de Partie in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with a hands-on, collaborative approach.
- Organised, calm under pressure, and driven to deliver excellent results every service.
- Creative, passionate about food, and eager to contribute new ideas.
- Willing and able to work a flexible rota including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
