About the Opportunity – Join Our Kitchen Team in Cardiff
We’re on the hunt for a Chef de Partie who is driven, organised, and brings positive energy to every shift. You’ll work as an essential part of our kitchen crew – plating up quality dishes, keeping cool under pressure during service, and helping our team smash out service. With a mix of regular service, big events, and killer food deals, there’s never a dull moment.
Main Responsibilities – Chef de Partie Job Duties
- Prepare and present dishes to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and quality every time.
- Take responsibility for your station and support your team to deliver smooth service.
- Follow food safety, health, and hygiene guidelines at all times – no exceptions.
- Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations as needed.
- Keep ingredient stock rotated, prepped, labelled, and ready for action – less waste, more taste.
- Contribute ideas for specials and menu development – we want your creativity!
- Jump in and support the wider team whenever needed, especially on busy shifts and during events.
Key Skills & Experience – What We’re Looking For in a Chef de Partie
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef in a busy kitchen (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Genuine passion for food, flavour, and delivering memorable experiences for guests.
- Solid knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene standards.
- Calm under pressure, quick to adapt, and a keen team player.
- Keen to learn, grow, and share your knowledge.
- Attention to detail and pride in every plate.
- Great communication skills and a positive attitude.
Working Hours, Salary & Perks – Kitchen Careers in Cardiff
- £13 per hour starting rate – paid fortnightly
- Full-time role and part time permanent contract.
