Main Responsibilities – Line Chef Duties & Cardiff Kitchen Jobs
- Prepare, cook, and present hot and cold dishes to spec and standard during busy services.
- Work with the kitchen team to ensure food is delivered on time, every time.
- Support in all areas of the kitchen – from grill and fry to garnish and plating.
- Maintain strict food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety standards at all times.
- Help receive deliveries, monitor stock, and reduce kitchen waste.
- Pitch in wherever needed—because teamwork makes every shift better!
Key Skills & Experience – What Makes a Great Line Chef at The Dock?
- Previous experience in a high-paced kitchen or a strong willingness to learn as a kitchen assistant or commis chef.
- A keen interest in fresh food, quality, and service – you’ll be proud of every plate.
- Flexible, positive and reliable – ready for evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Excellent communication and a sense of humour (our team loves a laugh!).
- Punctuality and commitment – you show up on time, every time, and give your best.
- Food hygiene training is a bonus, but we’ll give you all the tools to succeed.
Working Hours, Pay & Benefits – Cardiff Line Chef Vacancies
- Pay starts at £12.50 per hour (with regular reviews and increases possible).
- Part-time and full-time kitchen shifts available (evenings and weekends essential).
