What's the Role?
We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. You will run a section of the kitchen, delivering consistently high-quality food while maintaining standards of cleanliness, organisation and safety.
Prepare and cook dishes to menu specification, maintaining portion control and presentation standards
Run a designated station during service, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of food
Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in developing and refining dishes and specials
Train and mentor commis chefs and kitchen staff, promoting a collaborative team environment
Maintain food safety, hygiene and storage standards in line with legislation and company policies
Manage stock levels for your section, assist with ordering and rotation of supplies
Contribute to menu planning, cost control and waste reduction initiatives
Who We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a busy kitchen
Strong technical cooking skills and a good understanding of kitchen timings and mise en place
Knowledge of food safety practices (HACCP) and willingness to uphold high hygiene standards
Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to changing service requirements
Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused approach
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required

Essential Information
Role: permanent, full-time
Shifts: evenings, weekends and public holidays required
Location: Cardiff city centre — candidates must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to starting
