CHEF DE PARTIE-THE CRICKETERS
The Cricketers is a friendly, community-focused pub dedicated to great food, warm service and a welcoming atmosphere. Situated in a busy local neighbourhood, we serve seasonal menus, popular weekend roasts and host regular events. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and support our Head Chef in delivering consistently excellent dishes.
What's the Role?
As Chef de Partie at The Cricketers you will be a proactive, organised and food-focused professional responsible for running a section of the kitchen. You will ensure high standards of food quality, safety and presentation while supporting and coordinating with the wider kitchen team.
Prepare and cook dishes to menu specification, ensuring portion control and consistent presentation
Run a designated station during service, managing timings to ensure prompt delivery of dishes
Lead and coordinate junior kitchen staff during service, providing instruction and support as required
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards in line with HACCP and company procedures
Assist with menu planning, specials and seasonal offerings, contributing practical ideas and attention to cost
Support stock control for your section, including rotation, basic ordering assistance and minimising waste
Help with general kitchen duties including food preparation, cleaning, dishwashing and sterilising equipment
Work effectively under pressure during busy services, maintaining calm and a high level of detail
Who We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Senior Commis or similar role in a busy kitchen environment
Strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate a small team during service
Demonstrable knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety compliance (HACCP)
Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting
Practical experience in menu planning, food preparation and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Reliable, energetic and responsible with strong attention to detail
Stress management skills, adaptable to changing service demands and a supportive team player attitude

Essential Information
Role: permanent, full-time
Shifts: evenings, weekends and bank holidays required
Location: The Cricketers — candidates must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to starting
