The Discovery is looking for a driven, hands‑on Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in one of Cardiff’s best‑loved community pubs. We serve a classic, comforting menu built around Welsh products, from proper breakfasts to hearty lunches, pub favourites and standout Sunday roasts. With a sports bar, dining room and relaxed pub lounge, we’re a busy venue with a loyal local following and a real neighborhood feel.

What's the Role?

As a sous chef, you will work closely with the head chef to oversee the entire kitchen operation. You will assist in supervising your team and coordinating  the delivery of food in a busy, fast-paced environment 

• demonstrate and promote teamwork within the kitchen 

• be committed to delivering first-class service

• have good operational skills and the ability to work under pressure

• Adhering to health and safety, COSHH practice at all times 

• competent and confident in training new staff .

Essential Information

• Pay starts at 13 per hour  

• Full-time hours

• Shifts across weekends and public holidays
