Daffodil is one of Cardiff’s most popular restaurants and gastro pubs — established five years ago and known city‑wide for fresh cooking, local Welsh suppliers, and the number one Sunday roast in Cardiff. We’re now looking for a reliable, hard‑working Kitchen Porter to support our busy kitchen team.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Porter at Daffodil, you’ll be a vital part of the operation. You’ll work closely with the chefs to keep the kitchen running smoothly, cleanly and efficiently. This is a role for someone who takes pride in hard work, organisation and being part of a high‑performing team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and safe at all times

• Operating the dishwash area efficiently during busy services

• Supporting chefs with basic prep when required

• Ensuring equipment, utensils and workspaces are cleaned and ready for service

• Helping maintain stock rotation and storage standards

• Assisting with deliveries and keeping dry stores organised

• Working as part of a tight, friendly kitchen team

What We’re Looking For

• A strong work ethic and positive attitude

• Ability to work quickly and cleanly in a busy environment

• Reliability — turning up on time and ready to work

• Good organisation and attention to detail

• Someone who wants to be part of a fresh‑food, quality‑driven kitchen

• Experience in a KP role is ideal, but not essential if you’re willing to learn
