The Cricketers is part of Croeso Pubs, a dynamic and growing company dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. We are looking for an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead the kitchen team, serve great food and help create memorable experiences for our guests.

What's the Role?

As Head Chef, you will lead the day-to-day running of the kitchen and help maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and safety. You will support and develop the kitchen team, manage stock and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a smooth and welcoming guest experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, support and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.

• Plan and oversee food preparation and service, maintaining consistent standards of quality and presentation.

• Develop creative dishes and contribute to menus that meet guest expectations.

• Manage kitchen stock, including monitoring inventory, ordering supplies and minimising waste.

• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and follow food hygiene and health and safety requirements.

• Communicate clearly with team members and colleagues across the venue to coordinate service.

• Respond to challenges during service with a practical, adaptable and solution-focused approach.

• Work with the wider team to support excellent customer service and memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen, with experience leading or supervising a team.

• Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills.

• Good knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and food hygiene practices.

• Experience with inventory management, stock control and ordering supplies.

• Creativity and attention to detail when preparing and presenting food.

• Ability to problem-solve, adapt to changing priorities and remain effective in a busy environment.

• A positive, hands-on approach and a passion for delivering great food and hospitality.
